The article is devoted to analysis of the key categories of linguomethodology and theories of the cognitive activity – of the concepts of problem-based tasks and problem- based issues in relation to the linguo-communicative training of specialists in a technical University. The study of the multi-faceted source base of the research, including scientific-theoretical and methodological works, reference literature on the topic, allowed the authors to focus their methodological search on comparing the interpretations of the problem-solving tasks, problem-solving assignments and problem-solving issues, to identify similarities and differences in the content of the concepts under consideration, to determine the areas of their practical application in language education as pedagogical tools of problem-based learning technology. The article reveals the significant didactic potential of problem-based learning, its focus on stimulating and activating the cognitive activity of students, when the teacher does not provide knowledge in a ready-made form, but encourages students to look for ways and means to solve the search tasks facing them.
In the context of competence-based paradigm in modern higher education and in projection on the linguistic-and-educational process of the University considered the possibility of application of various elements of problem-based learning in lectures and seminars on the subjects "Russian language and speech culture", "Russian language for business communication" at the technical University. The authors propose a system of exercises that implements problem-based learning, give examples of problem-solving issues and tasks in these disciplines for students of various technical specialties, and emphasize the importance of search and creative tasks to increase the linguistic-and-cognitive activity of future specialists. As a result of the conducted scientific and methodological research with elements of its practical implementation, a conclusion is made about the methodological feasibility of using the technology of problem-based learning in teaching speech-related disciplines to students of technical universities.
