The relevance of the problem is due to the development of international scientific relationships and the increasing need to translate various scientific texts from English into Russian using digital technologies, both in the scientific sphere and in education. This raises the problem of evaluating the quality of translation and the correct approach to choosing the most effective digital service. The article is aimed at comparing different types of machine translation and identifying the optimal one among them. The leading method for studying this problem is quantitative and qualitative analysis of professional texts in the field of science and comparison of the results of the work of different types of translators. The original texts used for translation are authentic, professionally-oriented scientific articles. The article identifies the advantages and disadvantages of machine translation and offers recommendations for users of machine services. The purpose of the study is to develop the criteria and types of indicators for evaluating translators, as well as the results of evaluation according to these criteria.
