Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Applied Linguistics Research Journal is an Open Access journal. It means that all articles that are published in the journal are freely available online after publication. An article-processing charge (APC) covers the range of publishing services including article production and hosting, copyediting, typesetting, publication on our website, and marketing, as well as technical development and maintenance of the publishing platform.
Applied Linguistics Research Journal levies an article-processing charge of US $ 300 for each article accepted for publication.
The APC is payable when your manuscript is editorially accepted and before publication. The corresponding author of the manuscript is responsible for making the payment upon editorial acceptance of the manuscript. Prompt payment is recommended since we cannot publish accepted manuscripts until payment has been received.
Notice: To apply for a waiver or discount, please request one during the submission process. Requests made during the review process or after acceptance will not be considered. To ensure the integrity of peer review, our team of editors and reviewers receive no information about payments at any stage.
APCs will not be refunded when articles are retracted as a result of author error or misconduct.
Applied Linguistics Research Journal discounts charges for authors from Low-Income and Lower-Middle economies based on the World Bank 2020 report.
Please note that you must make discount requests when you first submit your manuscript. It will not be possible to process requests made on any subsequent revisions.
